A raging wildfire is still burning out of control near Leona Valley in northern Los Angeles County. The fire has burned at least 3,200 acres since it broke out yesterday afternoon. Five homes and several outbuildings have been destroyed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Meanwhile, a wildfire northeast of Los Angeles in the Angeles National Forest has charred at least 15,000 acres. It has destroyed 14 buildings, including two homes. Extreme heat and rugged terrain are making the battle tough for firefighters. The blaze is just 10% contained.
