Modesto police have three men jailed on weapons and related charges, after a police car was rammed Saturday night during a car jacking investigation. Officer Troy Cross was hospitalized overnight with moderate injuries. His patrol car was broadsided by a Ford Festiva with four occupants. Two of them ran from the scene and were arrested a short time later.
22-year-old Jaime Zaragosa, 20-year-old Adrian Bravo and Jesus Madrigal were treated for injuries they received in the accident and booked. 22-year-old Jose Ochoa is still hospitalized and may be charged later. Investigators say they found an assault weapon inside the car.
