Tuolumne County deputies are still trying to sort out what happened Saturday evening at lake Tulloch, to touch off a brawl that sent three Modesto area people to hospitals.
One male participant was airlifted to Memorial Hospital with a stab wound to the chest. Two others were treated at Mother Lode hospitals. Lt. John Steely says more than 20 combatants between 15 and 23 years of age started fighting after exchanging verbal insults. The fight moved along O´Byrnes Ferry Road for a short distance. Deputies have confiscated numerous weapons and are submitting a report to the District Attorney´s office for further investigation.
