Child Killing Trial Resumes Monday
Testimony resumes Monday in the San Diego trial of David Westerfield, the man accused of kidnapping and killing seven-year-old Danielle van Dam. Last week a defense expert testified that some pornography found in Westerfield´s home may have been downloaded by the defendant´s son.
Prosecutors have suggested that the child pornography indicates Westerfield had a sexual interest in children and therefore had a motive to abduct Danielle. He could face the death penalty if convicted.
