Officials say a Southwest Airlines plane was forced to return to Los Angeles International Airport this morning after a woman allegedly tried to enter the cockpit.
LA World Airports spokeswoman Nancy Castles says Flight 2060 was turned around shortly after its 10:30 a.m. takeoff for Sacramento because a woman began “interfering with the flight crew.”
The FBI´s Laura Bosley says the Boeing 737 had been in the air about ten minutes when the pilot radioed that he was returning to LAX to get the woman off the plane. Bosley says the woman was turned over to airport police for mental evaluation. There were 115 people aboard the plane. It took off again for Sacramento shortly after noon.
