A candlelight vigil is planned tonight in San Francisco in memory of Diane Whipple.
It was one year ago today that Whipple was mauled to death by two large dogs in her Pacific Heights apartment building.
The dogs´ caretakers, Marjorie Knoller and her husband Robert Noel, are charged with involuntary manslaughter in
Whipple´s death. Knoller is also charged with second-degree murder.
Meanwhile, jury selection in the case resumes Monday in Los Angeles. The trial was moved there because of heavy publicity in San Francisco.
More than 110 prospects were excused yesterday for hardship reasons.
Opening statements are scheduled to begin February 19th.
