First Lady Speaks In Los Angeles

First Lady Laura Bush reaffirmed that an investment in education is a way to unify the nation and preserve American values. She spoke today during a Town Hall Los Angeles. Hundreds of people packed the auditorium for a 600 dollar a table breakfast where Mrs. Bush said a good education is the key to greater opportunity and a better life.

The address drew Republican gubernatorial candidate Richard Riordan along with former Governor Pete Wilson. The first lady said education ensures that America will stand for social justice and equal rights, dignity and high ideals.
