Opening statements get under way Tuesday in Los Angeles in the trial of a San Francisco couple charged in a fatal dog-mauling case.
Jury selection was completed yesterday, with a panel of seven men and five women chosen to hear the case.
Marjorie Knoller and Robert Noel are both charged with manslaughter. Knoller is also charged with second-degree murder.
Knoller´s neighbor, Diane Whipple, was killed by the dogs as she walked to her apartment in January of last year.
The trial was moved to Los Angeles because of all the publicity.
