Simon Fights For Charter Schools

GOP gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon spent the morning visiting the people at the Bowling Green Charter School in Sacramento. Simon plans on supporting proposals to give more funding to charter schools. He plans on trying to include charter schools in state facilities bonds for public schools, expand the number of authorizing agencies that can grant charters like other states have done, and to use pooled resources to give charter schools access to special education funding, just to name a few ideas. Simon has said “Charter schools face unique challenges and it is important that the state help keep the charter school system healthy.”
