Man Killed, Daughter Wounded In Stockton Standoff

A 34 year old man is dead and a ten year old girl is in stable condition with leg wounds following an eight hour standoff with Stockton police that began when a woman told officers her boyfriend had gone crazy.
Officers say the woman called them late last night and said her live in boyfriend had fired two shots from a handgun as they drove in their car. She said the boyfriend, Andre Johnson, was at their home with her 10 year old and 18 month old daughters.
Police say they entered the home this morning after attempts to negotiate with Johnson failed.
They say Johnson fired on two SWAT officers after disobeying an order to put up his hands. The girl was hit in the right leg during the exchange of gunfire. A bullet also grazed her left foot.
