A small street in Pleasanton got a new name yesterday to honor a hero of Flight 93. About 100 people gathered along the new Tom Burnett Lane to honor the man who joined with other passengers September Eleventh to fight off terrorist hijackers.
The San Francisco-bound flight crashed in Pennsylvania, killing Burnett and 43 others. The road runs outside the headquarters of Thoratec Corporation, where Burnett worked as a senior vice president. A memorial was also unveiled near the company´s entrance.
