Heavy Snowfall In The Upper Sierra Nevada
More heavy snow fell today in the upper elevations of the Sierra Nevada, from Yosemite National Park northward, along with some extremely strong wind.
In the Lake Tahoe area snowfall of up to one foot above seven-thousand-feet tapered off by afternoon. Southwest winds gusted to more than 70 miles per hour in upper levels of the Sierra this morning. Most of today´s rain and snow in California fell north of a line from Monterey to Modesto to Yosemite National Park.
