The driver of a big-rig killed when his tractor-trailer was struck by a commuter train this morning in Anaheim has been identified by his employer.
The Rio Rico Arizona trucking company says the driver was 62-year-old Jose Umberto Alvarez of Mexicali, Mexico.
Authorities say Alvarez apparently tried to make a U-turn at the rail crossing when his big-rig was hit by a Metrolink commuter train.
None of the 115 passengers on board the train was hurt.
A Metrolink spokeswoman says the crossing arms came down on both sides of the big-rig while it was on the tracks.
