Youth Gets Probation In Fatal Accident
A 17-year-old from Valley Center in northern San Diego County has been given probation after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter. The youth plead guilty in March in the death of a companion, when a car went off a road, down an embankment and crashed into trees. Authorities said the driver had a blood alcohol level of .13%, more than double the drunken driving threshhold for California minors. San Diego County Juvenile Court Judge Carol Isackson told the boy she would consider dismissing the charge if he complies with all the conditions of his probation.
