A San Diego judge has decided to allow limited testimony about the lifestyles of the parents of a seven-year-old girl during the upcoming trial of the man accused of killing her. David Westerfield is accused of kidnapping and murdering Danielle van Dam in February. Judge William Mudd held hearings on several issues behind closed doors. The particulars about most of them will remain under seal until after the trial. Statements Westerfield made to police will be allowed at trial, as will some of the pornographic pictures found in Westerfield´s home. Jury selection is expected to start tomorrow.
