Visalia Shootout Kills Two

An armed robbery suspect and a bystander were killed during a lunchtime shootout with Visalia police today.
Police were searching for a second robber – wearing women´s clothing and a blond wig – who fled the shopping center after the heist.
Police say the two male suspects were dressed in drag when they robbed two stores at the Mineral King Plaza.
Officers who were eating lunch nearby responded and became involved in a shootout with one suspect.
Police Chief Jerry Barker says the suspect fired at least seven shots, killing a man who was eating lunch with his wife and toddler at a fast food restaurant.
Barker says officers shot and killed the suspect.
