A kayaker was rescued this afternoon from a remote section of the Clavey River in Tuolumne County.

Tuolumne County Sheriffs deputies and the Search and Rescue pulled the victim from the area about two-miles above the confluence of the Tuolumne and Clavey rivers in a rugged area of the county.

The victim is reported in stable condition with hypothermia and a broken leg.

No name on the injured kayaker, or where he is from.
