Two people are in critical condition after a morning shooting and stabbing that caught several bystanders in the crossfire in San Francisco´s Mission District.
Four people were shot and one was stabbed outside a Popeye´s fast food restaurant near a busy street corner at Mission and 22nd at about 10 a.m. today. The injured were taken to San Francisco General Hospital.
A spokeswoman for the hospital says two people are critical – one with a chest wound and one with wounds to the face. They´re both undergoing surgery.
Another victim is in serious condition with a chest wound. The stabbing victim is in fair condition, and an elderly man shot in the foot is in good condition. Police say witnesses saw some men fighting, then one pulled out a gun and started shooting. They say bystanders are among the injured.
