A man who was badly injured in Friday´s apartment explosion in Los Angeles has died. Officials at the Grossman Burn Center say 47-year-old Dennis Cohen died about 11:15 Sunday morning. He had suffered third degree burns to more than 50 percent of his body. Before his death, Cohen apparently told fire investigators that he accidentally caused the blast that leveled portions of the three-story building. Fire officials say Cohen admitted to disconnecting a gas line between a wall and a stove, and then lighting a cigarette in the bathroom, setting off the blast. The explosion damaged about a dozen apartments, but he was the only person to suffer any serious injuries. It´s not clear why he disconnected the gas line.
