Winona Ryder returned to court this morning, three days after she suffered an arm injury while walking through a crowd of reporters. Ryder´s attorney said the actress broke her right arm Monday after she was “whacked” as she returned to the courtroom after lunch. Her arrival in court today was without incident. Before the hearing, Los Angeles County Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini told reporters outside that rules governing media coverage at the courthouse would be enforced to the letter. Says Parachini, “Any person coming to the court for business has the right to get in and out of the courthouse. That broke down on Monday.” Ryder is in court today for a preliminary hearing on shoplifting and drug charges. She was charged in December with shoplifting $4,760 in merchandise from Saks Fifth Avenue.
