Amtrak Crash Injures Man

The California Highway Patrol says the driver of a pickup truck collided with an Amtrak train in Bakersfield this morning around 10:30 a.m.

The driver of the truck, identified as Robert Ray Scott, was ejected 50-feet from his vehicle after the crash.

The 58-year-old man suffered a broken leg in the crash. The CHP says the 83 passengers and six crew members on the train were not injured.
