Arson Cause Of Fire That Burned Three Area Firefighters

The cause of that wildfire north of San Bernardino is arson, with multiple ignition sources. That´s according to U.S. Forest Service spokeswoman Joyce Easton, who says the nearly 7,000-acre blaze could be the result of a motorist throwing flaming objects out the window of a moving vehicle.

Three Calaveras County-based CDF firefighters were burned battling that blaze when the fire overran their engines. The Bluecut Fire, located 50 miles east of Los Angeles in San Bernardino National Forest, has burned 6,758 acres and is now 80 percent contained.
