Another Big SoCal Fire

More than 55-hundred acres have burned in a raging brush fire in the Cajon Pass in San Bernardino County. The firefighting effort has closed Interstate Highway 15 through the pass, cutting the fastest route between the Los Angeles area and Las Vegas. Three homes have been destroyed, along with two outbuildings and one trailer. A mandatory evacuation has been ordered for residents in Swarthout Canyon and Lone Pine Canyon. The blaze, sparked by a car fire, also caused power outages to nearly one-half million customers in suburbs of Los Angeles, when overheated transmission lines shut down. There´s no estimate on containment.
