Peterson In Court Today

Sponsored by:

Scott Peterson appeared in court today, but his defense attorneys did not file a request for a change of venue as expected.

The judge granted Peterson´s attorney Mark Geragos a two-day extension to file the request. He has until 9 a.m. Monday. Geragos requested the extra days so he could compile 8,000 exhibits accounting media coverage of the case on a disk to submit to the court.

The motion to move the trial from Stanislaus County is scheduled to be heard January 8. Scott Peterson pleaded innocent last week to charges of murdering his wife Laci and their unborn son, denying the allegations that could land him on death row. The trial is still scheduled to begin January 26.
