Topping Out For UC Merced

A year after the historic groundbreaking of the first UC campus in the San Joaquin Valley, a topping out ceremony is being held this morning at the U.C. Merced campus.
To mark the occasion of building construction reaching the highest pinnacle at 60 feet, the uppermost steel beam will be raised and bolted in place. That beam will be signed by UC Merced leaders and supporters.
