President Bush heads to California today — a two-day stopover en route to a six-nation tour of Asia and Australia.
In California, the president´s got two speeches on the economy, a pair of re-election fund-raisers and a meeting with Governor-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The White House is hoping the actor´s victory last week in the nation´s most populous state bodes well for Bush´s campaign there next year. The meeting takes place in Riverside, California tomorrow — after which Bush heads to Tokyo. Bush´s nine-day trip is focused on the annual Asia-Pacific summit, being held in Bangkok this year. He´s also stopping in the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and Australia.
