Governor Davis, shut out of the debates among his would-be replacements, has challenged Arnold Schwarzenegger to go one-on-one. But the actor quickly declined.
Davis says he´s sick of Schwarzenegger running down the state as part of a misrepresentation of Davis´ record.
At a campaign rally in West Hollywood, former Texas Governor Ann Richards told Davis and the crowd “You´re gonna have to call him out.” Davis proceeded to do just that.
Schwarzenegger spokesman Sean Walsh says his man won´t debate because he´s busy convincing the public that he has the vision, discipline and the will to change California.
Schwarzenegger has won the endorsement of Republican ex-candidates Bill Simon and Congressman Darrell Issa, the man who bankrolled the recall movement in its early stages. But, the actor´s Republican rival, state Senator Tom McClintock, refuses to withdraw.
