The parade of top national Democrats to California to support California Governor Gray Davis as he fights recall by the voters continued today. Former presidential candidate the Reverend Jesse Jackson campaigned alongside Davis at Los Angeles Southwest Community College. Jackson told students that citizens throughout the nation are concerned about the state of the economy — not just residents of California.
Jackson also criticized Republican gubernatorial candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger for deciding to participate in just one debate in which questions would be given to him in advance. Jackson drew a resounding “NO” from the college students when he asked: “At this school, are children allowed to get the questions and answers before the exams?”
Meanwhile, Fox News TV is reporting that leading recall candidates are planning a boycott of next Wednesday´s debate.to force Republican Candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger to come to the table and face the other candidates. So far, Schwarzenegger has side-stepped previous televised debates.
AM 1450 KVML will broadcast next Wednesday´s scheduled debate from Sacramento State live beginning at 6 p.m.
