Senator John Kerry’s presidential bid has won a key endorsement from California Senator Dianne Feinstein. Feinstein praised him today for having the “strength, experience, leadership and judgment to be an excellent president.”
She is the second US senator to endorse Kerry’s presidential bid. The other is Kerry’s Massachusetts’s colleague, Ted Kennedy.
Feinstein says Kerry has demonstrated leadership on issues such as health care, tax policy, gun control and the environment. Kerry was once seen as the front-runner but his status has been eclipsed by the surge of former Vermont governor Howard Dean.
Kerry was in San Francisco Tuesday and is scheduled to appear at an anti-recall campaign event today in Los Angeles.
