Governor Davis is continuing his stepped-up run of judicial appointments. The governor yesterday named six new state appeals court justices and a pair of superior court judges.
Davis, who left vacancies unfilled for months earlier this year, has made numerous appointments since the recall against him qualified in July.
Yesterday´s appointments to state appeals courts include two each in Los Angeles and San Diego counties, and one each in Fresno and Santa Clara counties. Davis also named two superior court judges in Santa Barbara County.
Making numerous judical appointments is typically the behavior of outgoing governors.
