Investment guru Warren Buffett says his involvement with actor Arnold Schwarzenegger´s campaign for governor of California doesn´t mean he´s leaving the business world.
Buffett, one of the country´s richest men, says he´s only acting as an adviser to Schwarzenegger, who he considers a close friend. He also says he won´t be switching his party registration.
Buffett is a Democrat, while Schwarzenegger is a Republican.
The actor came under fire recently after Buffett suggested that property taxes in California are too low. The issue has been considered untouchable since the 1978 passage of Proposition 13, the statewide initiative that froze property tax rates.
A recent poll shows Schwarzenegger neck-and-neck with Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante should Governor Gray Davis be recalled from office in the election October seventh.
