A man accused of throwing a firecracker that burned the leg of an 8-year-old boy at an Oakland Athletics game has been questioned by Oakland Police.
Travares Moore was arrested last night.
Police say witnesses saw Moore throw a cherry bomb from the third deck to the first tier of bleachers.
Moore is being held on $25,000 bail. He faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon and explosion of a destructive device, police said. No court date had been set.
A spokesman for the A´s says the boy and his father were taken to Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Berkeley, where they were treated and released. The boy had first-degree burns on one of his legs and his father complained of ringing in his ears. Their identities have not been released.
