The family of missing substitute teacher Laci Peterson marked the first-month anniversary of her disappearance today, asking the public to remain vigilant in searching for her.
At a press conference in Modesto Friday, Laci´s brother said he no longer supports his brother-in-law Scott Peterson. Brent Rocha says Peterson “has not been forthcoming” and is no longer communicating with anyone in Laci´s family. Rocha says Peterson told him that he was having an affair with another woman. He urged Peterson to fully cooperate with police.
Police haven´t labeled Peterson a suspect but say they haven´t ruled him out either. He has reportedly declined to take lie detector tests and has retained a criminal defense attorney in Modesto.
Laci Peterson has been missing since the morning of Christmas Eve and is due to deliver a baby boy on February 10th. Her mother, Sharon Rocha, asked for any anonymous tips or other information that would bring her daughter home.
