Davis announced the grants yesterday at the First African Methodist Episcopal Church in Los Angeles. It´s one of the recipients. The West Angeles Community Development Corporation of Los Angeles and the Ella Hill Hutch Community Center of San Francisco also are recipients.

Since its creation, the Governor´s Community and Faith Based Initiative has awarded more than $18 million to 50 projects that serve populations often overlooked by mainstream employment and training efforts.
