Sheriff Says Deputy Actions “Justified”
Merced County Undersheriff Bill Blake says two Merced County sheriff€™s deputies were justified in killing a man who was threatening them with a chain saw. Ronald Ray Finn, 35, of Delhi, died at a Turlock hospital after deputies Doug Hayes and Micah Brawley shot him four times.
Monday, family members gathered to publicly say deputies did not have to kill their brother. According to the Modesto Bee, Blake said the deputies “followed their training to a €˜T€™,” and that Ronald Finn told his family he would not be taken alive if sheriff€™s deputies arrived.
