Eighteen tree sitters are standing firm against an afternoon court ordered deadline to come down from their posts.
Environmental activists in the Freshwater Creek area of Humboldt County were served a temporary restraining order yesterday by Pacific Lumber. The company owns the land the tree sitters are occupying. The order gives the protesters 24 hours to come down.
Pacific Lumber says it has no immediate plans to remove the tree sitters if they stay in the trees. The tree sitters say they have no plans to come down.
