Merced Considers Stayner Park

A Merced city committee has voted to keep the name of a small park as Steven Stayner Park. Committee members received several complaints about the name because Steven´s brother Cary was convicted of killing four women in and near Yosemite National Park. Steven Stayner was kidnapped and held for some seven years before he escaped. The Merced City Council will consider the name next month.
