Laci´s Family Waits for Results
The family of missing Modesto woman Laci Peterson says it is having a difficult time waiting for police to identify 2 bodies found washed up this week in Richmond. In a statement read today at a news conference, a family spokeswoman says Peterson´s family is waiting for D.N.A. testing to determine the identity of a woman´s body, and that of an infant boy.
At the same news conference, Modesto Police Spokesman Doug Ridenour said he does not know where Laci´s husband, Scott, is. He would not comment on whether Scott Peterson has been placed on any travel restrictions. Ridenour says Scott Peterson has not been ruled in or out as a suspect.
Scott Peterson says he last saw his wife on the morning of Christmas Eve, the same day he says he was fishing at the Berkeley Marina. The Berkeley Marina is just a few miles south of where the two bodies were found.
