In California Gray Davis might be an ex-VIP, but during the Democratic national convention in Boston this week he was a star again.
One of California´s 441 delegates, the ousted governor was greeted by autograph seekers and strangers who wanted to pose with him for photos, or just shake his hand.
According to the Los Angeles Times, many expressed regrets about how last year´s recall election turned out, and others urged Davis to make a political comeback. When he wasn´t on the convention floor, Davis attended luncheons
and briefings with top Democrats.
As for a comeback, Davis says he has nothing planned. He says he´s doing some consulting work and enjoying having his weekends free.
