Power Advisory Continues For California
California power grid managers are asking residents to conserve electricity this week as temperatures were expected to top 100 degrees in many regions.
Officials at the Independent System Operator say electricity usage peaked this afternoon at 43,997 megawatts — below the projected peak.
Temperatures were expected to be above 100 degrees tomorrow in northern and southern inland regions and the Mother Lode as well.
The Independent System Operator recommends raising the thermostat when no one´s home, and delaying doing laundry or running the dishwasher until off-peak hours.
