Modesto Police caught up with a suspected gang member Thursday, who was wanted for attempted murder.
19-year-old Federico Parra was wanted for a shooting last Saturday, when officials say he and other gang members attended a 2-year-old´s birthday party where they weren´t wanted.
Thursday, when officers spotted him, he took off and left a loaded pistol inside his vehicle.
After a brief pursuit, a Modesto Police Canine Unit cornered Parra and took him into custody.
Parra has been booked at the Stanislaus County Jail for attempted murder, and for being a gang member in possession of a loaded firearm.
