Governor Signs Clean Needle Bill Into Law
Governor Schwarzenegger has signed a bill making it easier for drug addicts to buy clean needles without a prescription.
Advocates say the measure is a long sought change in state law that will help stop the spread of AIDS.
The law allows local officials to authorize pharmacies to sell up to 10 sterile syringes to an adult without a prescription.
Schwarzenegger said he believes the new law will help prevent the spread of HIV.
