Proposition 68 would unravel tribes´ monopoly to operate slot machines and give that right to some card rooms and race tracks. It would require the state´s tribes to contribute 25 percent of their slot machine earnings to local governments.
Proposition 70 would allow tribes unlimited expansion on the types and number of casino games. It would require tribes to pay 8.84 percent of their casino earnings to the state, the same rate paid by corporations in California.
