Governor Vetoes Job Outsourcing Bill

Governor Schwarzenegger has vetoed legislation that attempted to prevent the outsourcing of California jobs to foreign countries. He says the measures would erect artificial barriers to economic growth.

The vetoes are being praised by Republicans and the California Chamber of Commerce, but Democratic Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez says they will send the wrong message to Californians looking for job protection from Sacramento.
