The storm that hit the Mother Lode this week left behind broken trees, downed power lines, and some snow at the higher elevations.
Thousands of customers reported losing power at some point during the stormy weather, according to Pacific Gas and Electric.
Most of the power outages were due to tree limbs which fell or were blown into power lines by the wind.
However, one more pleasing aspect may be the first dusting of snow for folks in Mi Wuk, Sugarpine, Long Barn and Cold Springs.
Chains and snow tires are also starting to be required, and the CHP reports the usual start date for use of snow tires has been pushed earlier.
Drivers may now use snow tires on their vehicles, without worrying about getting a ticket.
