Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is heading to Japan today where he´ll be promoting California´s agriculture and other businesses.
On Thursday, the governor will sample the state´s products during an event billed the “Taste of California.”
California Farm Bureau President Bill Pauli, travelling with the governor, says the group is working hard to promote a wide variety of California agricultural products.
“Certainly, oranges and our citrus products have always played an important role in their country, wine certainly is important, but let´s not forget melons. Let´s not forget some of the vegetable crops. Let´s not forget some of the other specialty crops for which they, like other consumers around the world, are dependant on California agriculture to supply them,” Pauli said.
The governor also plans to promote tourism and other California goods and services.
