Columbia Native American Event Reset For Wednesday

This month´s rainy weather has caused its share of problems for sports events, construction projects, and celebrations, but one of those events has been rescheduled for this week.

The Native American Heritage Month Celebration was to be held a few weeks ago, but it´s been rescheduled for Wednesday afternoon.

The Tuolume Me-Wuk Tribal Education Department will be hosting the event, free and open to the public, at the Me-Wuk Round House on the Columbia College campus.

There will be a drum circle, and other traditional campfire ceremonies, and tribal chairman Kevin Day will present an invitation to the community to participate in the event.

Wednesday´s event is planned from 4pm until 6pm, at Columbia College.
