Peterson Trial: Details on Juror Dismissal
There are a few details out now on why the original jury foreman was dismissed during deliberations in the Peterson murder trial.
The San Francisco Chronicle and San Jose Mercury News are reporting that papers filed by defense attorney Mark Geragos claim that foreman Gregory Jackson wanted out because other jurors had become hostile to him.
Geragos made the claim in a motion asking for a new jury for the penalty phase of the trial.
Prosecutors say Jackson retracted the claims when asked by the judge.
Meanwhile, the jury has the rest of the week off.
In turning down the motion asking for a new jury, the Judge Alfred Delucchi pushed back the start of the penalty phase of the trial until Tuesday.
