Stanislaus County Could Mandate Pet Microchips

Stanislaus County´s Board of Supervisors is considering a proposal that would require all cats and dogs wear microchips — and would limit breeding animals to one litter a year.

The plan´s goal is to crack down on irresponsible pet owners.

It´s modeled after a Los Angeles program, and if it´s approved, other local government officials say they might try it too.
