Good news for California´s economy.
The state Employment Development Department says the unemployment rate dropped to 5-point-7 percent in November, down a tenth of a percent from October.
The state added 87-hundred payroll jobs and the number of job seekers fell to the lowest level since 2001.
Altogether, more than 14-point-6 million people had payroll jobs in November, according to a survey of employers.
Farm workers and the self-employed were not included in the survey.
Slightly more than 1 million Californians were unemployed in November.
